Polyurea is a coating that gets put onto cement floors to keep them cleaner, easier to clean and wipe up and longer lasting from cracks and injury. Our floors have gotten stained from the many birds coming and going and the pressure washer can only do so much. We feel getting this coating on our floors will make it easier to roll our aviaries in and out and up the cleanliness level we can provide the birds in our care as well as preserve the floors. This work must be done with all birds moved out for days to avoid inhalation of the fumes while it dries and it must be performed in nice weather so that the large doors can be left open for the coating to dry properly.
It costs us $5,878.26 per bird per year to care for and train a project parrot. This covers all annual vet exams, toys, food, housing, supplies for cleaning, prepping, training as well as treats, perching, aloe, air filters, travel, carriers, and the list goes on... but this price covers it all! Simply donate letting us know if you're sponsoring a specific project bird or if your donation can help one of our choice.
We are always in need of financial help covering the cost of taking on these parrots. Please use the donate button to sponsor a bird in our care.
