meet Ava

Ava the 10 year old blue throated macaw came to us when her second home could no longer care for her due to lifestyle changes. Her first home's owner passed away and she arrived with a pre-existing wing clip and some barbering/feather plucking behavior. We quickly began flight training with her to see if she could fly with our macaw, Jinx. It didn't work out quite that way, but what did come about for her was even better...
